1. Reed's Fort Marker

Inscription. Just south of this point stood the house of Adam Reed, Esq. In 1755 it was turned into a fort. Here, with Rangers from Hanover Township, Reed protected the people of the countryside against Indian raids.

Erected 1949 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
