Marcia French was a pioneer in women's athletics she started the Intercollegiate Volleyball Program in 1965 and softball in 1970, leading both to the NCAA National Playoffs. Her work earned conference and regional coach of the year recognition. A 1995 inductee into the B-W Athletic Hall of Fame, she will be remembered as an exceptional teacher as well as a tireless advocate for her students, her players, and for women in sports.
