Inscription. On 6th May 2015, the then Chairman of the YTL Corporation, Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay, gazed across the river Thames and was fixated by the 800-year-old Monkey Island Estate. The property was purchased and lovingly restored to its former glory under his leadership and vision and reopened in 2019.

This statue is dedicated in loving memory to Tan Sri Dato Seri (Dr) Yeoh Tiong Lay the Founder, Chairman and father of the YTL Corporation.
