Glenn Peterjohn embodied the joy of scientific discovery and sharing the wonders of nature, his enthusiasm made him a popular professor with students and colleagues for 37 years and into his retirement. Winner of the 1971 Strosacker Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 1994 Faculty Excellence Award, he challenged students to achieve their best in the classroom and life. An effective faculty leader, he was head of the division of science and mathematics and is remembered as an active scholar, exceptional teacher and compassionate advisor. His impact lives on through the Glenn Peterjohn Biology Fund.
