Hillside in Cook County, Illinois — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
At Peace Memorial
LOSS stands for Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide. Fr. Charlie Rubey began this ministry over 50 years ago in recognition of the need to bring comfort to family and friends of loved ones who died by suicide.
We believe that this memorial is the first of its kind here in the United States. The memorial is designed with the intention of bringing peace and healing to those who have been affected by suicide. We hope to add features in the future, but for now we are incredibly proud of this memorial that is a reminder of the power of God's love in our world.
Erected 2026 by Archdiocese of Chicago.
