Egbert Bartholomeusz Kortenaer 1604-1665
Nederlands admiraal en zeeheld uit de zeventiende eeuw. Hij was stuurman op verschillende schepen onder Maarten Tromp. Na Tromp's dood nam hij het bevel over diens eskader over. Bij het einde van de Tachtigjarige Oorlog was hij vlootvoogd.

(English translation:)
Dutch admiral and naval hero of the seventeenth century. He was a helmsman on various ships under Maarten Tromp. After Tromp's death, he took command of his squadron. At the end of the Eighty Years' War, he was fleet commander.
