Regarding Cottage Hospital circa 1820, 1920-1951. A building was constructed on the property around 1820. It was a two-storey building of Neo-Classical design, with internal end chimneys. A succession of owners and building uses followed, with incremental improvements to the building. During 1920-1951, the building served as The Cottage Hospital. A nearby building was built in 1920 and served as the nurses' residence - a 1½ storey house in the Arts and Crafts style. Both buildings together were designated as heritage buildings in 2005.
