The Archaeological Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserve our nation's most important archaeological sites, owns 9.14 acres of the historic town site.

Under the stewardship of The Archaeological Conservancy, the preservation of New Philadelphia's commercial center, located on Blocks 2, 3, 8 and 9, is ensured. Archaeologists unearthed extensive remains of the town's households and businesses here.
