Clara Schumann
Im "Selliers Hof", dem Vorgängerbau, verbrachte Clara Schumann (1819 - 1896) einen Teil ihrer Kindheit. Zwischen 1825 und 1835 wohnte hier ihr Vater Friedrich Wieck und bei diesem 1830 - 1831 Robert Schumann.

In "Selliers Hof," the predecessor building on this site, Clara Schumann (1819–1896) spent part of her childhood. Between 1825 and 1835, her father Friedrich Wieck lived here, and Robert Schumann lived with him from 1830 to 1831.
Donated by Bodo Zeidler Company, authorized specialist dealer for Meissen porcelain, in Leipzig's Old Town Hall.

Clara Josephine Schumann (née Wieck; 13 September 1819 – 20 May 1896) was a German virtuoso pianist, composer, and piano teacher. Regarded as one of the most distinguished pianists of the Romantic era, she exerted her influence over the course of a 61-year concert career, changing the format and repertoire of the piano recital by lessening the importance of purely virtuosic works.
