1. Union Chapel Cemetery Marker
Inscription. This 1.63 acre portion of the Union Chapel cemetery, lying across the Buttermilk Road from the church house, was made available by Joseph Lucious Daniel at the death of his wife Wilma Louvenia Stewart Daniel in 1922. It is bound on the west by the Buttermilk Road, north by the Mary Adeline Daniel Hyche portion of the Lucious Daniel Estate, and east and south by the small creek branch. Five of Lucious Daniel's nine children and numerous other members of his family lie in the Daniel family plot. Others in and around the community were given burial sites without charge as the need arose.
