Linn Boyd
Hon. Linn Boyd was member of the Ky. Legislature 1827-1829. He served in U.S. House of Representatives 1835-1837 and again 1839-1855. With Henry Clay in the Senate he successfully pushed through the Compromise of 1850 that dealt with the extension of slavery and he became Speaker of the House 1851-1855.
