1. Henry M. Streeter House Marker

Inscription. This Victorian farmhouse was built for Mr. and Mrs. Henry Streeter on forty acres of alfalfa and citrus property. Mr. Streeter was an early community leader, serving on the State Assembly from 1879 until 1881; on the State Senate from 1890 until 1895; and at various times, on the city board of trustees and the national electoral college, as a state senator. Mr. Streeter drafted the legislation which led to the creation of Riverside County.

A. Westbrook designed and built this Victorian Farmhouse in 1888 for Henry M. Streeter, a State Assemblyman from 1879 to 1881, and State Senator from 1891 to 1895. Streeter wrote the bill to establish Riverside County that was adopted in 1893.
