Inscription. Fiddler's Fling has been spinning guests since the park's opening on May 29, 1976, debuting as one of Six Flags Great America's original attractions. Manufactured by Schwarzkopf as a classic Calypso-style ride, it features rotating, tilting cars that whirl riders in fast, circular motions, a signature flat-ride experience of the 1970s.

Operating in the County Fair section since opening day, the ride has remained remarkably true to its original form and continues to be a staple among the park's collection of nostalgic spinning attractions. It also shares its origins with an identical version installed at the sister Great America park in California, highlighting its place in the shared heritage of the two original Great America properties.
