In March 2022, Six Flags announced the transformation of Yankee Harbor into the new DC Universe area, bringing with it a full re-theme of Whirligig as DC Super-Villains Swing. The refreshed attraction debuted featuring bold new villain-themed artwork, an updated sign package, and a structure that introduced a new identity while preserving the classic Zierer Wave Swinger experience guests have loved for decades.
