Washington County Court House
Washington County was a Shire County, until 1993. A Shire County has more than one Court House. They were located in Sandy Hill and Salem. The first court house was built on this site in 1806. This present structure was designed by the architect Marcus Cummings, of Troy, N.Y. and was built in 1873. It remained the Washington County Court House until 1993, when the County Seat moved to the Town of Fort Edward.
Erected 1999 by Town of Kingsbury with NY State Funds.
