There used to be lots of trees like me in Wisconsin years ago. Some were over 200 feet tall. Many white pine trees were cut down in the 1800s for everything from construction to firewood until the supply ran short. In some areas many new little white pine are being planted, but they are very sensitive to air pollution and many do not survive.
