1. Clifford R. French Post Marker

Inscription.
Built in 1870 to house offices for the Seth Thomas Clock Company, including Seth Thomas' private office. The American Legion purchased it in 1925. The post was designated the "Clifford R. French Post" in honor of the first Thomaston resident to die in World War I.
