Inscription. Virgil Park was dedicated to Diana and Hall Virgil in 2019. The Virgils spent more than 20 years converting the B&O Trail, a former rail line abandoned in 1990, into a recreational trail. They inspired hundreds o volunteers and donors, spent countless hours meeting with local and state officials, wrote grant applications, and cleared limbs from the pathway. The first 1,000 feet of the B&O Trail connects multiple communities and sees thousands of visitors each year. Thanks to the Virgils’ tireless efforts, Brownsburg residents are able to enjoy one of Indiana’s premier recreational trails.
