1. Enclosed Steam Winch Marker

Inscription.
Winches were installed on ships for tying up to docks and manoeuvering the vessel. This steam mooring winch was designed by M.B. McMurray and built in the machine shop of the Collingwood Shipyards. Later, McMurray also designed hydraulic “Collomatic” winches at the Shipyard.
