Today these lands entrusted to us rival the ruggedness and beauty originally found here. Tall hardwoods and pines on forested hillsides shade trails leading to special places.

Pristine streams once again teem with life, and a trillion stars once again blaze brightly above the wilderness at Cherry Springs State Park and other remote forested locations.

This is the Pennsylvania Wilds — a gift from the Commonwealth and those men and women who rallied to protect it all those years ago.

Explore it. Love it. Care for it. Through your continued support, we can work together to keep the “wild” in the Pennsylvania Wilds.

Help continue our predecessors' conservation efforts through these or other simple commitments:
• Join your local watershed association.
• Plant species native to Pennsylvania.
• Volunteer at your local state park or forest.
• Learn to use low impact techniques while recreating.
• Spend a day picking up litter.
• Take the time to learn the names of local plants and wildlife.

Whatever part you can play, small or large, please help pass on the legacy of the Pennsylvania Wilds so that future generations will always have these resources to enjoy. Visit iConservePA.org to learn more.
