1. Bethel Cemetery Marker
First burial was Daniel H. Murphy, first Murphy to settle in area. At this location was Center School as well as well as the first Methodist Church. It was built by Romulus Sanders Swift in 1843, one of the first Swifts to settle in the area. The log structure was moved and reconstructed at Scotts Hill.
Erected 2026 by Scotts Hill Heritage Collection and Tennessee America 250 Project.
