1. Grand Union Hotel / L'hôtel Grand Union Marker
Inscription.  
[English]  The Grand Union Hotel was built in 1905 by two Syrian immigrants, Mike Abraham and Dick Zahalan. The hotel was built 4 stories high, with 48 bedrooms, a high class parlour, its own electric plant and boasted room rates of $2 per day in 1910. The building is still in use today, as an apartment complex and bar.

[Français]  L'hôtel Grand Union a été construite en 1905 par deux immigrants syriens, Mike Abraham et Dick Zahalan. L'hôtel comptait 4 étages et 48 chambres, un salon de luxe, sa propre installation électrique pour la modique somme de 2 $ par nuitée en 1910. L'immeuble existe encore, avec bar au rez-de-chaussée et ses chambres converties en appartements.
