Inscription.
[English]  New Liskeard was, and still is, well known for its “Mile of Beach” that runs along the north shore of Lake Temiskaming. The Beach in the early days had a grand-stand, racetrack, dance pavilion, confectionary booth and ball parks. The racetrack was part of the circuit and on Sunday afternoons it was the place to be.
