1. Aqueduct Park Marker

Inscription.
The aqueduct was opened as a part of the Ohio-Erie Canal in 1840. Supported by an archway of heavy sandstone blocks quarried nearby, the aqueduct carried the canal water and canal boats over Old Town Creek.
