1. Scouts 80 Years in Mt Evelyn Marker

Inscription. Mt Evelyn Scouts started in 1928 The painting shows Scouts in 'lemon squeezer' style hats enjoying one of the early camps. Land in Station Street was acquired in 1960 and a hut relocated from Upper Yarra Dam as the first hall. The present hall dates from 1983, Scouting aims to help young people achieve their full potential and 'Be Prepared' throughout life. This is achieved through adventurous, fun, challenging programs that focus on leadership, teamwork and community. In 2008 the Scouts celebrated their Australian Centenary.

2. Scouts 80 Years in Mt Evelyn Marker along the Rail Trail
site plus some smaller buildings at Camp Eureka and Willowlake.

Since 1952, the hall has developed social significance as an important community meeting place. It has historical associations with a number of district families, including the Kenneys, Falkinghams, Snowballs and Hardys. The present hall was constructed over the old one in 1983 and a storeroom/meeting room was added in 1998.
