Inscription.

Here, many of Leipzig's prominent citizens have been laid to rest. Among them are the Cantors of St. Thomas's Johann Herrmann Schein, Johann Schelle, Johann Adam Hiller and Christian Theodor Weinlig, also Wagner's parents and his sister, Rosalie. In the original cemetery, which was larger than it is today, lay the burial place of Johann Sebastian Bach, whose remains were reburied to St. Thomas's church in 1949.

If the museum is closed, please walk around the building!
