1. The Blacksmith Fountain Marker

Inscription. Presented to the city by J.B. Armstrong, local manufacturer, as a symbol of industry. Cast in zinc, mounted on a cast- iron pedestal and red granite base. First operated on Queen Victoria's birthday 1885. Moved from St. George's Square 1922.

Designated as an item of historical and architectural interest by the City of Guelph.

Erected 1988 by City of Guelph.
