1. Keeper's Residence Marker

Inscription.
The original keeper's residence was a one-and-a-half story brick building measuring twenty by twenty-four feet with attached kitchen wing. In 1883 the house was altered to two stories. The last major change occurred in 1925 when it was rebuilt into a two-and-a-half-story duplex. The keeper and his family lived on the side closest to the tower, while his assistant occupied the other half.
