1. Hello from the House of Stone Marker
Beginning with the great stone buildings of the Kingdom of Mutapa, Zimbabwean stone sculpture has become a carving tradition featuring different artists from all over Africa. Fashioned entirely by hand from quarried stone such as Serpentinite, and finished by sandpaper washing or polished to a shine, these one-of-a-kind intricately carved stone sculptures have recently gained worldwide popularity. Many of these art pieces were brought here through a 2017 Zimpsculpt Exhibit and generously purchased by the Demas Family for the enjoyment of the community.
