1. In Appreciation Marker
Dedicated to volunteers Foster and Louise Mills, and their son, Russell and wife, Monica Mills in recognition for their many years of service tending to this Lutheran cemetery, established in 1840.
Overgrown and unattended, Foster discovered Princess Maksoutoff's grave site in 1924 and maintained it for over 25 years. Russell and Monica continued as caretakers until 1992 when Sitka Lutheran Church took it over.
