1. Our Rich History Marker
Over 80,000 fur seal skins alone were stored here in 1867, along with sea otter pelts and other valuable furs.
This mural depicts the S. S. Queen and the S. S. City of Topeka as they docked here in 1887 during Alaska's gold rush.
Part of the original Russian stone work still stands as a reminder of earlier international trade in Sitka.
