We hereby dedicate and commemorate this plaque to the antique farm machinery building in honor of a man whose passion and legacy will live forever and encompass this dwelling.
Here, in a place tucked away from a world ravaged with the marvels of modern technology, Bill would listen intently to the rhythm and timing of the many machines.... big and small, ensuring they were running flawlessly.
Bill is a man who had a deep lifelong commitment to the operation of antique gas engines and tractors. Bill loved to share his knowledge and teach others about these machines. Engines that helped modernize the world and create a farming and manufacturing culture that would forever be changed by the turn of the iron wheel.
In this museum, Bill is remembered as a man who brought to life the reality of farming prior to modern-day technology. Bill’s commitment and knowledge of the museum and its contents is a testament to his life, one surrounded by loving family and caring friends.
Bill’s hard work and dedication to the Altamont Fair and numerous gas engine communities will be the legacy he has left for those to forge on and keep the show going with the same caliper that Bill portrayed.
Thank you, Bill for all your love, hard work and dedication.
The show must go on!
