By the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the generous provision of the Noble Lord Thomas Douglas, Fifth Earl of Selkirk, we the descendants of the Clan Nicolson who emigrated to these shores on the ship Polly, 200 years ago, from our clan lands near Portree on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, do hereby commemorate the 200th Anniversary of our forefathers arrival here and their many contributions to the growth, betterment and development of Prince Edward Island and Canada.
