Huntley in Yellowstone County, Montana — The American West (Mountains)
Little Yankee Road Grader
This grader was invented by Rev. B.F. Shuart on the Hesper Farm just west of Billings, Montana about 1890. Shuart sold the Hesper Farm in 1892 to procure money to promote a Short Grader he had patented on the farm. He moved to Oberlin, Ohio and the grader was manufactured and sold quite successfully by the Ohio Machinery Co. as the Little Yankee Road Grader.
