1. She Moves With Color Marker
She Moves with Color is a 1,000 sq. ft. mural representing a modern, vibrant depiction of the Mona Lisa. This artwork is a reimagination of the iconic Short North Mona Lisa mural, created by Brian Clemons in 1990, formerly located on the exterior of the building located at the intersection of North Pearl Alley and Cedar Alley. An important symbol of the community's creative history, the enigmatic muse now looks over High Street from a sideways orientation. Expressive brush strokes and a bold palette display a more modern side of the classic figure. In the words of the muralist, "this design was created to feel visually aligned with the energy, vibrancy, and evolving character of the Short North while still honoring. the quiet integrity and historical importance of the Mona Lisa image within the neighborhood's identity."
Mandi Caskey, known as Miss Birdy, creates large-scale murals that turn public spaces into emotional and imaginative worlds. Her work is rooted in the belief that environments should shape us less, and reflect us more. Pulling from nature, folklore, and personal narrative, she builds surreal scenes
