1. The Doorstep Stone Marker
This stone was bought by Sir Andrew Macphail... from Wallace, Nova Scotia in a "spirit of reckless pride". Stones of this size are rare on Prince Edward Island, "many visitors came to view the wonder" Sir Andrew wrote. "Pat Bolger the last of the violinists who discerned at once the essential utility of the stone. He brought his fiddle and played a long composition of his own. The resonant stone gave the effect of a complete orchestra."
