This Frisco Commons Park Trail is dedicated by the residents of Frisco, Texas to honor Private Sparkman, age 26, was serving in the U.S. Army with C Company, 359th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division on February 5, 1918 when he was killed in action as the ship he was aboard, the Cunard Lines chartered troopship SS Tuscania, was sunk by torpedoes off the coast of Scotland. Private Sparkman was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
