A masterful interweaving of Neutra's interest in climate, landscape and health with Miller's progressive attitudes regarding the role of women in modern society and her teaching of the German-based Mensendieck System of Functional Exercise. At the time or its construction, the modest home and studio was surrounded by open desert.
