President's House
Originally located where Henderson Center now stands, the President's House was built in 1953 at a cost of $50,000. The residence was moved to its present location on the corner of Brook and Graham Roads in 1965 in order to build the Student Union Building (now Henderson Center). The house has served as a residence for President and Mrs. John Ellison, President and Mrs. Samuel DeWitt Proctor, President and Mrs. Thomas Henderson, President and Mrs. Allix B. James, President and Mrs. David Shannon, President and Mrs. S. Dallas Simmons, and President and Mrs. Clause G. Perkins.
