Inscription.
The African lion population has declined by 90% in the last 75 years due to habitat loss and conflict with humans, primarily over loss of livestock. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium supports EWASO Lions in conserving Kenya's lions and other large carnivores by promoting coexistence between people and wildlife.

Samburu warriors serve as ambassadors for lions within their communities as part of the Warrior Watch program.
