1. Express Wagon Marker

Inscription. This Express Wagon was widely used for city warehouse transportation and also used by Wells Fargo Express and Adam's Express for city delivery of express packages and light freight. It is the 19th Century version of a UPS or FedEx truck. Express Wagons were one of the most carefully designed and practical wagons ever built. These wagons have a unique platform spring system and under cut front wheels that provided the flexibility ideal for the tight turns of city driving, the wagon also has line loops to hold the reins when the driver had to get on and off the wagon to make deliveries.
