Lapangan Fatahillah
Fatahillah Square

In the past, Fatahillah Square was called Stadhuisplein. It was a plaza that was inseparable from the Stadhuis (Batavia' City Hall). The citizens of Batavia did their activities in this public space, such as socialization, selling and buying foods and goods, and taken fresh water. This square functioned again in 1974 and becomes the icon of old city of Jakarta.
