1. First Stand-Alone Restaurant Marker

Inscription. On April 16, 1986, Chick-Fil-A moved beyond the mall food court and opened our first stand-alone restaurant here on North Druid Hills Road in Atlanta. Although this new concept would transform the way we serve our guests around the country, it continued the traditions of our founder, S. Truett Cathy: providing genuine hospitality and having a positive influence on all who came in contact with Chick-Fil-A. In 2018, the restaurant was redesigned and rebuilt to better serve the North Druid Hills community for years to come.
