Hier stond vóór 1644 de bierbrouwerij 'De Drie Haringen'. Na de oprichting van het bakkersgilde in 1644 moesten aankomende bakkers hier hun examen afleggen om in het gilde te kunnen worden opgenomen. De gevelsteen met de bakkersoven herinnert daar nog aan.

(Before 1644, the 'De Drie Haringen' (“The Three Herrings”) brewery stood here. Following the establishment of the bakers' guild in 1644, aspiring bakers were required to take their examination here to gain admission to the guild. The stone relief depicting a baker's oven serves as a reminder of this.)
