Annemarie Grewelel was een invloedrijke Amsterdamse denker, politica en bestuurder, die zich hardmaakte voor de oprichting van ‘homo/lesbische studies’ aan de UVA. Met haar zelfverkozen dood bleef ze tot haar einde activistisch.

Annemarie Grewel, an influential Amsterdam thinker, politician, and civic leader, pushed for a "gay/lesbian studies” program at the University of Amsterdam. With her self chosen death, she remained an activist until the end.
