The store was here between the 1890s and 1920s, based upon items found in the site. Design patent marks on bottles date from 1886 to 1920.
The store and its contents burned while it was full of goods for sale. He found bottles associated with cooking, drinking, medicine and cosmetics.
He also found burned timbers, cut nails, buckles, and buttons. Cut nails represent earlier times and are not in use now.
He used advertisements from the 1920s to help him identify the store contents and their costs.
