5. The Frigate Hermione

The Marquis de Lafayette sailed on the Frigate Hermione on his return from France with news of his country's support for the American cause. This is a replica of that ship that was constructed in France in 2015. It recreated Lafayette's trip across the Atlantic and visited several cities on the east coast. It is seen here sailing up the Delaware River towards Philadelphia.
