Thea Wickel stond in 1970 aan de wieg van de eerste ontmoetingsplek voor genderdiverse mensen. Zij heeft zich bijzonder ingespannen als voorzitter, gastvrouw, steun en toeverlaat, en belangenbehartiger van genderdiverse mensen.
Thea Wickel helped establish the first Dutch meeting place for gender diverse people in 1970. She spent the rest of her working life as a civic leader, host, supporter, and advocate for the interests of gender diverse people.
