St. Robert in Pulaski County, Missouri — The American Midwest (Upper Plains)
AlPac Motel
The AlPac was located at 18652 Historic Route 66, 3 miles east of Pacific, MO, on the way to Allenton. The property was aptly named Al-Pac Motel & Café due to its location between the communities to the east and west. Owned and operated by Fred and Jean Miller, the Al-Pac was known as the "Home of Good Food," and was marked with this sign in the 1950s. When the motel closed at the turn of the century, it was rescued by the Route 66 Association of Missouri, becoming the property of the Missouri State Parks under the care of the Lower Meramec Management System and later donated to the Route 66 Neon Park in 2022.
