Sol and Julia (Meyerhardt) Goldstein were one of the earliest immigrating Jewish families to our area. As pioneer merchants, they rose to prominence, becoming one of the leading names for department stores and clothiers at 107-113 North Allen (Main). They commissioned the building of their home. In 1947 the stewardship passed to Otto and Ruth (McCoy) Toutz Otto was an owner/operator of Independent Gravel Company, on the board of education and he and Ruth served in many civic and fraternal organizations. This home was restored from 2016-2018.
